The Chase is on

Antenna systems centre ChaseOn – the extension of the successful Vinnova competence center project Chase.

ChaseOn gathers stakeholders to build fundamental knowledge and solid competence of antenna systems to meet future challenges in wireless applications. The vision for the research program ChaseOn at Chalmers, is ”To be a world-leading provider of antenna systems research and technologies for a competitive industry and a sustainable society”.

Smarteq is participating in ChaseOn in the development of antenna concepts for 5G to be used in vehicles supporting V2x and other services. It requires the use of higher frequencies, which in turn demands more of the antenna’s performance and position.

Smarteq regularly participates in related research programs.

– This strategy assures that we stay at the edge of RF-development and helps us to continuously improve ourselves, says Mattias Hellgren, Senior RF Engineer aka Smarteq’s senior representative for Chase-On.

ChaseOn partners include Volvo Cars, Ericsson, Smarteq, Bluetest, Keysight and RISE.
